Dear colleagues,

Along with my colleagues Teri Kirby, Michelle Ryan, and Antonia Sudkaemper at the University of Exeter, I am currently conducting a meta-analysis on the Glass Cliff. As part of this, we are looking for unpublished papers and data.

To fit our inclusion criteria, papers should report the relationship between organisational performance (broadly defined; e.g. declining stock performance, media scandals, declining popularity) and the evaluation or selection of minority members for leadership positions. This includes but is not limited to women, ethnic minorities, members of the LGTBQ+ community and those living with a disability. We are including experimental as well as correlational evidence (including archival studies) from all contexts such as management, politics, science, education, or sports.

To ensure that we are including the most recent research and addressing publication bias, we would very much appreciate it if you could share any working papers, presentations, reports published in non-academic outlets, or write-ups of unpublished data, that fit these criteria by sending us an e-mail ( This email address is being protected from spambots. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you very much – and thank you to everyone who responded to our first call for unpublished data back in 2016!

Best regards
